| Glory started in Japan in
1918 with the founding of the Kokuei Machine Manufacturing Company.
The founders provided long-lasting, well-built machines and responsive
customer service that would be the company's enduring reputation.
Long-term contracts with Japan's Ministry of Finance and other
financial organizations internationally followed. In 1950, the
newly established Glory Co., Ltd., of Japan proudly introduced
to the world its first coin counting machine.
Over the next thirty years,
innovations in compact design and rugged reliability redefined
how currency processing could be both convenient and powerful.
Glory's growing success in the U.S. market necessitated an American
corporate center. In 1982 Glory (USA) Inc., was established in
Los Angeles, California, relocating to the present headquarters
in West Caldwell, New Jersey in 1987.
By 1998, with a total revenue
of over $1 billion, Glory celebrated 80 years of leadership and
success with a promise to all employees and customers: the best
is yet to come.
